Once a person receives Reiki attunements and practices them they become an integral part of one's life and provide benefits to both the practitioner and those whom they treat and come in contact with. There are 5
Reiki Precepts that guide a practitioner's life:
Reiki is often practiced in a hands-on approach but can also be done long distance. Animals respond very positively and swiftly to Reiki, often needing less time or direct touch to benefit.
Acupressure applies a curved, gentle finger pressure to specific acupoints in order to release restrictions and restore the free flow of energy movement within the body.
We believe in a holistic approach to mental health, emphasizing the importance of emotional balance and spiritual well-being. Our philosophy centers on empowering clients through trauma-informed practices and shamanic techniques that promote healing and resilience. At Wild Iris Sanctuary, we strive to create a safe space for growth and transformation.
The most significant loss of my life was losing my husband to ALS, a terminal neurodegenerative disease. We were both 34 years old and our son was 2. I can say now having crossed many years on this vast and rough sea of grief that it is sacred ground. It was, is and will continue to touch my life in myriad ways never straying from it's potency and importance in shaping my life. In moments of grief and despair it is with me- in moments of wonder and awe it is with me- woven into the cloth of my life- so much so that I do not know where it ends and I begin. Thus it teaches me that we can live and thrive with loss and transmute it into beauty and love.
My interest in grief and loss comes from my personal experiences and countless patient's and families I have worked with over the years. None of us are immune to loss and I believe that we have the capacity to heal from losses, especially when our grief is met with a compassionate witness and we are allowed to be guided by our inner knowing.
Rituals provide a container for our grief and acknowledge the sacredness that is inherently a part our losses. Rituals can be incorporated into our lives to help us navigate grief. They help provide meaning and connection to our loved ones and our emotions and can become a powerful part of our healing journey.
